Press Release – AQ’s Corner Honored by FTCC Small Business Center for Cybersecurity Education Impact

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fayetteville Author Spotlighted by FTCC Small Business Center and Annual Report

Fayetteville, NC, August 7, 2025, Aqueelah Emanuel, founder of AQ’s Corner and Author of the children’s cybersecurity book Emani and the CyberHero Response Team, has been featured by Fayetteville Technical Community College’s Small Business Center (FTCC SBC) for her entrepreneurial journey.

Her story will be distributed across 58 Small Business Centers in North Carolina and included in FTCC’s annual report, highlighting the growth of her business and her mission to empower families through digital safety and literacy.

Co-authored with her 9-year-old daughter, Emani, the book introduces children to cybersecurity concepts in a fun, story-driven way. The project has grown beyond a book into an educational experience, including classroom presentations, nonprofit partnerships, and bookstore events.

One of the earliest opportunities came when Emani’s teacher invited them to present at school, a moment Emanuel credits as the spark that helped bring their mission into the community.

“What started as a simple idea between mother and daughter is now growing into something much bigger, helping children and families learn how to be safe and confident online,” Emanuel said. “We’re honored that FTCC has chosen to share our story with such a wide audience.”

The recognition follows recent milestones, including a Barnes & Noble signing event and community workshops where the CyberHero team continues to inspire and educate.
