A Mother’s Love Is an Unrivaled Force of Nature

The first time I heard those words, “A mother’s love is an unrivaled force of nature”, I was watching Criminal Minds. A show known for its darkness, its tension, its ability to make you think. But in that one moment, it made me feel. Deeply.

Agent Hotchner’s wife, Haley, made the ultimate sacrifice to protect their son. She stared danger in the face and chose her child. Without hesitation. Without regret. That scene hit me like a freight train, not because it was dramatic, but because it was real. Real to the core of who I am.

Because I am a mother.
And I would do the same.

My daughter is not just my reason why, she’s my everything. My light. My mirror. My future is walking around with curly hair, a big brain, and even bigger dreams. Every late night, every obstacle I fight through, every vision I build from the ground up, it’s all for her. It always has been.

And when I say “unrivaled force of nature,” I don’t mean soft winds and sunshine. I mean hurricanes of protection. Earthquakes of advocacy. The kind of love that reshapes mountains and moves through fire. I mean what happens when a mother refuses to be silenced, sidelined, or stopped because her child deserves the world.

I’ve walked through job loss, career pivots, job searching, parenthood, and the terrifying unknowns of entrepreneurship. And still, I rise, because she’s watching. And more importantly, because she believes in me. And let me tell you, there is no power like the faith of a child resting in the arms of a mother who refuses to quit.

My daughter and I didn’t just write a children’s cybersecurity book. We built a legacy. We created a lighthouse for other families to find their way in this digital age. We brought color, courage, and cybersecurity into classrooms and libraries, and we did it side by side.

That’s what a mother’s love does. It doesn’t just provide. It propels. It uplifts. It teaches a child how to dream out loud and defend their own worth with knowledge, with kindness, with fire in their belly and grace in their step.

I protect my daughter the way nature protects its most precious creations, with force, with intention, and with everything I’ve got.

And the truth is, I never knew I could be this strong until someone called me “Mom.”
Now? I know there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her. No mountain I wouldn’t climb. No storm I wouldn’t brave.

This Mother’s Day, I don’t just celebrate being a mother. I honor the unstoppable, unshakable, undeniable force that lives in all of us who choose to love like this.

Because a mother’s love is an unrivaled force of nature.
And I am living proof.

Happy Mother’s Day to all!
